After being Mansfield’s trusted local electrician for many years, in 2020 we added Electric Vehicle charging to our range and now we are adding solar. Solar Panels

At the core of the system, solar panels play a pivotal role in converting sunlight into mains electricity. Given their exposure to the elements and an anticipated lifespan of 20+ years, we exclusively collaborate with top-tier brands to ensure durability. Our diverse selection includes modules from reputable names like Q Cells, Trina, JA Solar, Sharp, Suntec, among others. This variety allows us to install the ideal solar panels tailored to meet your specific power needs and roof space.

Solar only is perfect for homes or businesses with high daytime power consumption. A solar panel-only solution presents a cost-effective option. This system comes at a significantly lower price compared to a full battery system, and the beauty is that all our installations can be easily upgraded to include battery storage in the future, should the need arise.

Battery Storage

This comprehensive solar PV system allows you to store surplus generated electricity in your battery for future use, rather than exporting it unused. This setup maximizes self-sufficiency and ensures a favorable return on investment.

At the core of the battery storage system is the hybrid inverter, a pivotal component that directs the flow of solar power. When the sun sets, the hybrid inverter seamlessly powers your home from the battery, minimising grid consumption. Plus, your inverter can replenish the batteries using cost-effective off-peak electricity during the night, a strategy we highly recommend, especially in the winter months when solar production is lower.

Manage all these functions effortlessly through your smart system app, while taking advantage of available off-peak tariffs from various energy providers.

Why Solar?

Embracing solar panels on your property is more than a practical decision—it’s a commitment to a sustainable and cost-effective energy future.

By harnessing the power of the sun, you significantly reduce your carbon footprint, contributing to a greener and healthier planet. Beyond the environmental impact, solar panels offer substantial energy savings, allowing you to generate your electricity and potentially even sell excess power back to the grid. This not only translates to a lower energy bill but also positions you as an active participant in the renewable energy movement.

As technology advances, the cost of solar panels continues to decrease, making the initial investment increasingly worthwhile in the long run. So, not only are you making a positive environmental impact, but you’re also making a sound financial investment that pays off over time. It’s a win-win situation for both your pocket and the planet.

A quick 60.second overview of a small kitchen rewire we first fixed in Clipstone today!

In this video, I show you how I create separately switched lighting zones in Garys garden, using Ener-J wireless Kinetic switches and receivers. Gary had had his whole garden landscaped and wanted some nice lighting, so he came to us to sort it!

Ener J wireless switches offer the perfect solution, as we dont need to take any wires back to switches in the house! Its all done wirelessly! The only wiring is to and from the control box in the garage, where the kinetic wireless receivers are, that switch the different zones!

I did a video a few months ago, installing some basic LED tape in a kitchen, and got a few comments saying I didn't show any of the installation process - Which is fair enough, I didn't! It was a video for my customer ideas & inspiration playlist!

Original video here: https://youtu.be/Ijc4-HqYp7E

So I teamed up with OVIA LIGHTING (Who are part of the Click Scolmore group) to bring you the FULL installation process of some high end, architectural LED lighting!

OVIA do not sponsor this video, they did the spec for this lighting & I promised them I would film the installation. The installation process may get a bit boring for some people, but this shows what it takes to install such a system in a very testing new build!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Chris fitted us in as a fault finding emergency as our electrics had tripped out three nights out of five.
Mark arrived that same morning and traced the fault enabling us to get a new central heating valve fitted and there ended all of our problems.
Prompt, efficient and friendly service, thank you 😊

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had both Chris and Mark come to the house to do some electrical work this month and they were excellent .Right from the initial survey of works , the quote and then the work itself has been carried out with the utmost professionalism. They went above and beyond what was asked , they were courteous, clean and tidy and everything was explained throughout. That good they're returning in March to carry out extra work we've asked for .A real pleasure to deal with .
