About Ward EV

With over 20 years experience in the domestic & commercial electrical trade, we are family run Electrical contractors, with a team of qualified & technically competent engineers.

After being Mansfield’s trusted local electrician for many years, Electric Vehicle charging experienced a boom. Chris and Mark undertook the training needed to supply and fit EV chargers in Mansfield and surrounding areas. In 2023 we also added Solar to our range.

Compatible with all electric and hybrid cars, simply let us know a few key pieces of information and we can arrange your install quickly and effectively.

We supply and fit the top 4 most popular brands in Electric Vehicle Charging.

There is something for every situation, car, and budget.

Easee

Easee One is intelligent and adapts to all electric vehicles, power supplies and mains. No need to think about technical specifications – the Easee One will automatically detect what power the vehicle requires. Built to comply with UK regulations, the Easee One comes with both integrated type B RCD protection and open PEN conductor protection.

zappi

zappi is a smart EV charger with a difference. Not only does it operate as a standard EV charger, but it also has optional charging modes to utilise 100% green energy generated from your Solar PV or wind generation. Don’t worry, if you don’t have solar panels installed, the zappi will still operate as a standard EV charger harnessing power from the grid.

Ohme Home Pro & Ohme ePod

Ohme’s unique tech integrates with all energy tariffs, including EV tariffs like Intelligent Octopus and OVO Charge Anytime.

Dynamic chargers use live data to automatically provide you with the greenest and cheapest energy

Residential & Commercial

As the end user – all you see is a charger on the wall that charges your car!
Not the hidden dangers that are left, meaning this “cheap charger” market can easily be manipulated, and someone IS going to get hurt. This is totally unacceptable.

Do you need an independent audit of your EV charger installation?

Is your EV charger not working properly?

Have you had multiple replacements already and are still not satisfied?

Sadly we’ve had lots of customers come to us because the installation they have been provided by another company is substandard and in some cases, even dangerous.

At Ward EV, we want to make sure all EV charger installations are RIGHT and SAFE.

We will come out and do a visual inspection and create a tailored remedy plan if needed to ensure your installation is up to scratch.

Don’t leave it to chance, trust the experts.

Here you will find videos of the day to day goings on of Chris & sometimes Mark. Bringing a VLOG style, along with vidography twist using different camera techniques to show off his skills, knowledge and work!

A quick 60.second overview of a small kitchen rewire we first fixed in Clipstone today!

In this video, I show you how I create separately switched lighting zones in Garys garden, using Ener-J wireless Kinetic switches and receivers. Gary had had his whole garden landscaped and wanted some nice lighting, so he came to us to sort it!

Ener J wireless switches offer the perfect solution, as we dont need to take any wires back to switches in the house! Its all done wirelessly! The only wiring is to and from the control box in the garage, where the kinetic wireless receivers are, that switch the different zones!

I did a video a few months ago, installing some basic LED tape in a kitchen, and got a few comments saying I didn't show any of the installation process - Which is fair enough, I didn't! It was a video for my customer ideas & inspiration playlist!

Original video here: https://youtu.be/Ijc4-HqYp7E

So I teamed up with OVIA LIGHTING (Who are part of the Click Scolmore group) to bring you the FULL installation process of some high end, architectural LED lighting!

OVIA do not sponsor this video, they did the spec for this lighting & I promised them I would film the installation. The installation process may get a bit boring for some people, but this shows what it takes to install such a system in a very testing new build!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Chris fitted us in as a fault finding emergency as our electrics had tripped out three nights out of five.
Mark arrived that same morning and traced the fault enabling us to get a new central heating valve fitted and there ended all of our problems.
Prompt, efficient and friendly service, thank you 😊

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had both Chris and Mark come to the house to do some electrical work this month and they were excellent .Right from the initial survey of works , the quote and then the work itself has been carried out with the utmost professionalism. They went above and beyond what was asked , they were courteous, clean and tidy and everything was explained throughout. That good they're returning in March to carry out extra work we've asked for .A real pleasure to deal with .
