Ward Electrical Installations Limited

Ward Electrical were recently asked to design, install & commission a large scale addressable fire alarm system to a church in the Mansfield area. The local fire officer had advised the church to upgrade to a category L3 fire alarm system – Which covers all main exit routes from inside the building, and Ward Electrical were approached to oversee the whole project. We started off by getting the system designed & a specification drawn up by our qualified fire alarm system designer, who forwarded the final plans to us for pricing. Once the system was priced up & quoted for, we were given the go ahead for the installation of the system. This saw Chris and his team on site for two weeks installing fire proof FP200 cable to a total of 47 devices on an addressable loop system. These included smoke/heat detectors, multi detectors, break glass call points, red LED strobe lights & sounders.

High level access & working in enclosed spaces were just a few of the hazards we had to assess in order to complete this installation, alongside the fact the building was still being used by the public as we were performing the work. Once the cables were installed & all the devices were fitted, we had the system commissioned & signed off. We drew up zone plans & had them framed next to the alarm panel. All work was carried out to comply with BS5389 Part 1 – Amendment 2, & fully certified. We are able to oversee any size or kind of fire alarm installation that you may require, from design to installation & commissioning. If you would like to discuss your plans with us, then call & arrange a meeting with us. We don?t just offer our fire alarm installation services in the Mansfield & Nottinghamshire areas; we also cater for customers nationwide.
